Malta part II
Blue Lagoon, Comino island
It was time to sail to the next island, Comino, which is between Malta and Gozo. It is a small island and you can easily walk around the island. In Blue Lagoon it is nice to anchor, but a bit rolly the first night.
The water is amazing!
It is a stunning place! And this day it was holiday on Malta so it was many people in the bay.
You will see a lot of caves.

Busy through the day with small boats, and ferries, but in the evening it was only a few boats and very quiet.
We had a sundowner on the top of the hill.
The ferry goes between Malta and Gozo.

After two nights in Blue Lagoon we sailed over to Gozo to fill some fuel and water. It was cheap and easy.
Gozo
Dwerja Bay
We sailed on the west coast of Gozo to Dwerja Bay, it is a big bay with almost no swell inside because of a big rock in the entrance.
In the afternoon we took a hike from the bay. First to this inside sea where it is possible to go through a channel from outside into the bay.
From the other side. you can wonder where you can get inside.
We walked along the coastline. This is a really beautiful hike!

We walked through some villages before we came back to the coastline on the south side of the bay where we were anchoring.
At one point we had a problem to find the trail, as you will see on the map. We had to cross a field which looked private.
The sun started to set and it was beautiful colours.
The ocean has been working here for thousands of years!
And amazing colours at sunset.
Almost back in the bay.
Our boat in the bay. All by ourselves. One boat came after sunset.
We manage to be back in the bay right before sunset.
It is one place in the bay where you can put the dinghy, but it is hard to get ashore, also there.
Next morning we took our kayak to this inland sea, and you can see on the video how we got there. It was about 1 km to paddle there, one way.
Here is a video from our hiking and padling on Gozo:
We sailed back to Blue Lagoon and had a paddle there.
A lot of caves to paddle into.

After one night we sailed back to Valletta and Helga took us around on a new roadtrip. First we had a stop in one of the 3 cities.
Narrow streets.
They had decorated the houses for easter.
Inside a small church.

A lot of boats in the bay.

Then she took us to Ta’ Kalanka Sea Cave. This was in the same area as we were hiking some days before.

Really beautiful!
We drove to Marsaxlokk to have lunch. More quiet here without farmers market. Thank you Helga for taking us around. It was really nice to see you again!
It was time to leave Malta and sail back to Sicilia. Valletta is a beautiful town from the sea. We should have had more time here.
