Staying in Paphos is like staying in the middle an archaeological site!
Exploring Paphos
It is not much good things to say about Paphos harbour. As I said in my last post, it is not a guest harbour. The harbourmaster is not in the harbour, even if his office in just ashore. If something is happening other people in the harbour is helping. We had to move the boat twice, and got help from other guys in the harbour. Even if we tied up in the pier it was too far away and we had to use the dinghy ashore.
And not forget the weather. If is wind from south/southwest it is a bumpy ride in there. And we had a big storm while we were there, so we could really feel it!
But, as I said, there were some nice guys in the harbour working on the boats to prepare them for the season. And one of them came and gave us this Moray eel. We haven`t seen this before but we had to say thank you and prepare it!
Astor cleaned it and we used the airfryer to make the dish. And actually it was really good!
Stormy weather and we visited Paphos Castle
As I wrote, we had a big storm while we were in Paphos. It was bigger waves than I have seen before. Most of the day we stayed in the boat, both to be there if anything was happening, and also because it was hard to get ashore with the dinghy in all the waves.
The castle is in the harbour, so we paid the ticket to go inside, just to have the possibility to walk on top of the walls to watch this weather onn the outside.
I was so happy I was not sailing out there! We some big boats passing by…

We didn`t want to make dinner onboard on this bumpy ride so we went to a restaurant. My over all favourite is chicken with mushroomsauce. And I got it here on this restaurant! It was really good!
The summercollection is coming to a shop next to you!… I found two of my favourites!

The archaeological site of Nea Paphos
The archaeological site of Nea Paphos is considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. It was probably build by king Nicocles , the last king of Paphos, at the end of 4th century BC.
