Felizia,  Greece

Working, working and some adventures!

After we arrived Greece, we drove to Plataria, only some minutes away from Igoumenitsa. A guy met us at the hotel, All Saints Villas Luxery Residence (the way it goes when Astor is in charge…) The apartment was beautiful, we only had two problems… the guy who met us did`nt speek english… and we had to pay cash.. We arrived Greece the same evening so we had no cash. The owner of the hotel was in another hotel in Ioannina and he had to spoke with both of us. He tried all of our creditcards but it did`nt worked… We had to go back to Igoumenitsa the day after to find an ATM. (and that is a history of it selves…)

A nice place, only 100 meters from the harbour and shops. Some of the apartments had their own swimmingpool, but it was anyway too cold for a bath….

A quiet place in april… But I can imagine it will be a nice place to come back with our sailboat later this summer.

One hour drive from Plataria we finally arrived Cleopatra Marina and our boat. Our boat to the left, a Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 473.

The privious owner lives in New Zealand and has`nt used the boat for two years. He left the boat like it was with a lot of privat stuff, so we had to clean the boat before we put our things in it.

The first evening Astor came with a guest onboard… We have a lot of frogs and turtles in a small river close to the boat.

An evening in the marina

yes, we are cleaning!

Master cabin!

The reception building in the marina. Here are toilets and showers, and a chandlery.

We have two restaurants in the marina. This is “Food and more”. Up and down in service and food… But it is okay for a dinner or two.

We took a trip to Lefkas to have a look around. But Saturday afternoon, in the middle of siesta… it was boring…

In the huge marina in Lefkada we found a danish boat with a couple and two kids. They will sail around for a year. You can follow them at “Havet Kalder” at Instagram.

An evening later we had dinner at the other restaurant in the marina, Panos Taverna. One of the best moussaka I have had. (exept from mine… )

Vonitsa is a town just some kilometres away from our marina. It is nice to see other places, not only the marina. We came there at a sunday and there were some kids sailing dinghy.

We tried to visit the castle, but it was closed until July. We walked around it, it was a nice trip anyway!

This is the reason I wanted to go to Vonitsa. Look at this beautiful bridge!

On the small island Koukoumitsa you can walk around, or do like we did, run.

And there is a small church there, Agios Nektarios.

At shore we could do some workout!

A really nice place to go for a walk in the evening

And this time of the year…it is so much nice flowers and colours…

We did`nt took the highway back to the marina, we wanted to check out the area around here. And we found this along the road. I am not sure if it is wild boars, wild pigs or normal pigs…

the name of the boat before I took it away

And Astor installed new chartplotter at the helm.

Not always perfect work position 🙂

We can`t go to the restaurant every evening, we also need to make some dinners in the boat. Taco is easy! We looked for salsa in many stores around here, and we could`nt find it, until we checked the small supermarket in the marina…

We have beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the marina!
